Big mountains and big ideas – such as Social Discovery – came together in Vail, Colo., this month at the Pacific Crest Global Technology Forum. Tagged was among hundreds of technology leaders and investors from around the world that gathered for this prestigious event.
The Pacific Crest Technology Forum is one of the most prestigious technology investment banking conferences in the world. As one of the first social networks to attain profitability, Tagged’s co-founder and CEO, Greg Tseng, was invited to address the delegates at this 14th annual session.
The purpose of the conference is to enable top investment leaders to learn about emerging successful technology companies directly from their founders and CEOs. The investment community is very focused on uncovering future social media trends, so it was no surprise that they wanted to zero in on Social Discovery and hear from Tagged.
The recent Facebook IPO was a focus point for many in the investment community who were trying to understand what impact it would have on the social networking sector as a whole.
During Greg’s panel, he reinforced our ongoing commitment to our users, saying, ”One can manage for the market or for the business, and for Tagged our focus is our business.” At the end of the day, providing users with the best place to meet new people will ensure our ongoing success.
The Rocky Mountains made for a spectacular setting to share Tagged’s vision to enable anyone to meet and socialize with new people. We had a lot of fun doing so and enjoyed the hospitality shown by the Pacific Crest Team.
